Inspiration -- Jimmy Reed, Wilson Pickett, et al.

If it is fair to say, as one local musician has stated, "The Blues Brothers movie is a love sonnet to Chicago!", it is also a fond tribute to iconic musicians who shaped the works of many others.   Among those trend-setting musicians were Wilson Pickett, Johnny Lee Hooker, and Jimmy Reed -- of whom, Laurence Kensey, a regional musician/painter, created a painting that is now housed, as a mural, in the common room of  the Burley Apartments building, in South Chicago.
