BLUES BROTHERS SITES TOUR

Previous

Southeast Chicago -- especially South Chicago -- enjoys special Blues status, thanks to the 1980 "Blues Brothers" movie, in which community sites, from 96th Street and Baltimore, to 95th Street and the 95th Street Bridge, Pilgrim Baptist Missionary Church, and the "Curl Up & Dye" beauty parlor at 85th and Burley Avenue, figure prominently in the plot.  This group of pages highlights community-based aspects of that movie, and the Blues culture that shaped it.
